The incident took place at around 10 pm on September 17 on Africa Avenue Road, on the stretch from Bhikaji Cama Place towards RK Puram Metro Station. During the enquiry, police found that 21-year-old Tanish Tokas, a resident of Munirka Village, was sitting on his parked black motorcycle on the roadside when the two-wheeler was hit by a blue-coloured car driven by 73-year-old Venu Gopal, a resident of Vasant Kunj.
Due to the impact, Tokas fell from the motorcycle. The car subsequently dragged the motorcycle for some distance. Police clarified that Tokas himself was not dragged by the vehicle.
Tokas underwent a medical examination after the incident, and police said he did not suffer any serious injuries.

FIR registered, driver apprehended
An FIR has been registered at RK Puram police station under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the incident.During the investigation, police seized the blue-coloured car allegedly involved in the incident and apprehended its driver, Venu Gopal.
The accused driver was also medically examined following his apprehension. Delhi Police said no alcohol was detected during the examination.
Delhi Police told ANI that the action followed a viral video from the RK Puram area showing the motorcycle trapped underneath the car and being dragged for a few metres as the vehicle continued moving.
