Noted Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda has reportedly sustained severe injuries following a major road accident on Saturday while traveling toward Shimla.

As per reports, Jawanda was riding his motorcycle when the crash occurred, leaving him with a serious head injury. He received initial medical attention at the scene before being transferred to Fortis Hospital for advanced treatment. Some reports also suggest that the singer suffered a heart attack while being rushed to the hospital, although these claims have not yet been independently confirmed. The accident reportedly caused significant damage to his motorcycle.

A medical team is reportedly keeping a close watch on Jawanda, and while hospital officials have not disclosed detailed information, they confirmed that his condition remains critical. A formal statement from the hospital is still awaited.


Upon hearing the news, prominent Punjabi singers Kanwar Grewal and Kulwinder Billa reportedly visited the hospital to support Jawanda.

Incidentally, just a day before the accident, Rajvir shared a post on his social media about his latest music release. In a video message, he expressed gratitude to his fans, saying that his new song #TuDisPainda was performing well on YouTube and thanked everyone for their support.

Who is Rajvir Jawanda?

Born in 1992 in Punjab, Rajvir Jawanda reportedly wanted to be a police officer but later decided to pursue a career in music after completing his university education. Rajvir started with folk and devotional music before transitioning to mainstream Punjabi pop. His first debut album was ‘Munda Like Me’ which was released in 2014.

Over the years, he has collaborated with popular Punjabi artists, including Maninder Buttar for the track ‘Vair’. His notable songs include Sardaari, Mera Dil, Rabb Karke, and Zor, which helped him gain widespread recognition.
