Ahmedabad school tragedy: Class 10 student killed by junior; Mob ransacks school
An Ahmedabad private school witnessed a tragic incident where a Class 10 student was fatally stabbed by a junior after a scuffle, leading to outrage and vandalism. Parents have raised serious concerns about campus safety, citing instances of haras...

The boy was stabbed on Tuesday and later died during treatment at night. On Wednesday morning, angry parents and locals stormed the Seventh Day Adventist School, damaging property and attacking staff, according to police.
Gujarat Education Minister Praful Pansheriya confirmed that a Class 9 student was behind the killing. The accused has been detained. In a video message, Pansheriya described the incident as “an unfortunate event and a red signal for a civilised society”, while appealing to people to maintain peace. He also said police were conducting a probe.
Meanwhile, parents raised strong concerns about safety on campus. Speaking to ANI, Poonam, whose daughters study at the school, said this was not an isolated case. “This is not just today’s incident. For the past two years, such issues have been coming to light. I have complained twice,” she said.
She also spoke of harassment on the school bus. “Boys use indecent language. Girls are shown obscene gestures, even the middle finger. There have also been cases of molestation,” she alleged.
According to her, dangerous items were often found in students’ bags. “Knives and mobile phones are discovered. A few days ago, a boy was even caught watching porn sites in the computer room,” she claimed.
Poonam criticised the school authorities for ignoring repeated complaints. “What is the administration doing? They just call the parents, make the student apologise in writing, and then let them go,” she said.
