Producer Kamal Mishra booked for hitting wife with his car in Mumbai

Police in Mumbai have registered a case against filmmaker Kamal Kishor Mishra for allegedly ramming his car into his wife after she spotted him with another woman.

The incident took place on October 19 in the parking area of a residential building in suburban Andheri and the filmmaker's wife was injured in the incident.

CCTV footage released by TV channels showed Yasmin Mishra going to confront Kamal Kishor Mishra and him abruptly driving the car away knocking her down.


The footage showed someone else rushing to the spot to help her while Mishra drove off. She suffered injuries to her legs, hand and head, police officials said.

Based on a complaint, an FIR has been registered at the Amboli police station against Mishra under
Section 279 – Rash driving
Section 337 – Causing hurt by an act that endangers the life or safety of other individuals
Section 134A and B – Running away without helping the victim or intimating the police

Mishra is the producer of 'Dehati Disco' and other Hindi films.
