South Africa Champions won the World Championship of legends title with a stunning nine-wicket win against Pakistan Champions. AB de Villiers smashed his third century of the tournament to guide his team home.

However, off the filed, league owner Harshit Tomar surprised presenter Karishma Kotak with a live marriage proposal during the post-match presentation, catching her completely off guard. The moment has now gone viral on social media.

When Kotak asked Tomar about his plans to celebrate the success of the league, Tomar said, ""Probably once this is over, I'm going to propose to you."



Kotak was stunned by the response and said, "oh my God", before composing herself and continuing with the presentation.

A de Villiers masterclass

In the match, de Villiers produced a masterclass, smashing an unbeaten 120 off just 60 balls to help his side chase down the 196-run target easily, securing South Africa Champions their maiden World Championship of Legends title.

Earlier, Pakistan Champions had opted to bat first after winning the toss and managed to score 195/5, owing to Sharjeel Khan’s explosive 76.

South Africa’s bowling effort was led by Wayne Parnell and Hardus Viljoen, who picked up two wickets apiece.

The South African batters made light work of the chase, with de Villiers leading from the front in a one-sided final.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the team would no longer participate in future editions of the World Championship of Legends. The decision was made after India Champions refused to face the Pakistan side during the tournament.

With the withdrawal of the Shahid Afridi-led team, the championship's future line-ups are set to undergo a major shift.
