Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Shilpa Shetty, among others, shared condolence notes in response to the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Priyanka Chopra re-shared a post on her Instagram stories late Monday night. "Devastating," she wrote alongside it. Alia Bhatt re-shared a Middle East Matters post. "This is heartbreaking," she captioned it. Rajkummar stated, "Turkey and Syria. We'll pray for you in our prayers.”
Soni Razdan, Alia's mother, also re-shared a post and wrote, "Simply heartbroken. Turkey is being prayed for." She also posted about a fourth earthquake of magnitude 5.6 that struck Turkey on Tuesday. She shared a link to make donations and asked all to contribute.


Shilpa Shetty on Instagram stories posted, "We are sending our prayers to everyone whose lives have been impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. May all the departed souls rest in peace (candle emoji)." In addition, she included a flower bouquet emoji in her post.
On Monday, three catastrophic earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.8, 7.6, and 6.0 shook Turkey and Syria. Dozens of strong aftershocks, including one that was recorded on Monday afternoon in the same fault zone of south-central Turkey and had a magnitude of 7.5, were produced by the initial 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
According to the reports, the death toll in Turkey and neighbouring Syria as a result of Monday's powerful earthquakes has risen to over 4,000. It is the most powerful earthquake to strike Turkey in over a decade. Thousands of emergency personnel have been searching for survivors among the rubble of collapsed buildings, and medical teams have been treating the injured.
