Priya, Karisma aur woh: Who is the third lady in late Sunjay Kapur's 30,000 crore estate dispute?
A legal dispute has erupted within the Kapur family following the death of Sunjay Kapur, concerning his ₹30,000 crore estate. The conflict involves Sunjay's mother, his children from his previous marriage to Karishma Kapoor, and his sister Madhira...

Madhira Kapur, Sujay’s sister has now come forward in support of Karishma’s children. Karisma’s children, daughter Samaira and son Kiaan, have approached the Delhi High Court claiming that their stepmother, Priya Kapur, allegedly forged Sunjay’s will to make herself the sole beneficiary.
Who is Mdhira Kapur?
Madhira Kapur as reported by News-18 is the Managing Director of SMIC Autoparts Pvt. Ltd. Founded in 2012, the company is headquartered globally in London. She is the daughter of the late industrialist Dr. Surinder Kapur and Rani Surinder Kapur. She is married to Luke Smith and is the mother of two children, Nyna and JaiVee.
Mandhira and Sunjay also have a sister, Superna Motwane, and was estranged from her brother Sunjay for four years, which she described as the result of a 'silly sibling squabble.' Reflecting on their bond, she wrote on Instagram: 'My brother and I may not have spoken for the last four years—a silly sibling squabble escalated to crazy levels due to egos and natural bullishness. However, that will never take away what we were and what we had.’
Madhira says that the family has been unable to properly grieve since that late industrialist’s death. HT quoted her saying, “It’s been horrible. It’s like I keep saying, it’s a nightmare we want to wake up from, and we’re not being allowed to even grieve.”
She says her mother didn’t want to take the matter and hopes Sunjay’s third wife will come around and give them what they want.
Mandhira has accused the board members of Sona Comstar of locking her mother in a room and forcing her to sign documents she didn’t understand.
“I was there, banging on the door, not knowing what was happening,” she said. “My mother later told me the doors were locked. She was in a grieving state and unaware of what she was signing. She said, ‘I did what I was told. I don’t know what I signed.’ She was very upset.”
The coming weeks in court will be crucial for Karisma’s children, as the legal battle over Sunjay Kapur’s ₹30,000 crore estate continues.
