India’s World Cup Star Pratika Rawal Speaks Out as Edited Photos Go Viral
Pratika Rawal News: Glory on the field often comes with noise off it, and Pratika Rawal is learning that the hard way. After a stunning run at the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, the young Indian batter has not only won matches and medals but also found herself at the centre of intense social media attention. While accolades and rewards have poured in, Pratika has also spoken out against the misuse of her images online.

A Stellar Women’s World Cup 2025 Campaign

Pratika Rawal enjoyed a dream run at the Women’s World Cup 2025, emerging as one of India’s most dependable batters. She scored 308 runs in seven matches, finishing as India’s second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. Across all teams, she ended as the fourth-highest run-getter, underlining her consistency on the biggest stage.

An injury cut short what could have been an even bigger tally, but Pratika still finished the tournament with an impressive average of 51.33.

Rising Popularity and the Dark Side of Fame

India’s World Cup triumph pushed Pratika into the spotlight, with her popularity soaring almost overnight. However, the attention came with an uncomfortable downside. Several edited and modified images of the cricketer began circulating widely on social media, prompting concern.

Visibly upset by the misuse of her photos, Pratika raised her voice on X, making her stance crystal clear.

“I DO NOT authorise you to take, modify, or edit ANY photo of mine… If a third party asks you to make any edit to a photo of mine of any kind, please deny that request,” she wrote.
