Akshay Kumar called out Richa Chadha over the comment she made concerning the Galwan clash that happened in 2020 in which 20 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives. However, South actor Prakash Raj took to Twitter on Friday to confront actor Akshay Kumar for calling out the Bollywood actress Richa Chadda.
In response to Akshay’s tweet, Prakash Raj wrote he “didn’t expect” this from him. He also wrote that “@RichaChadda is more relevant” to India than Akshay Kumar.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar shared a screenshot of Richa’s comment with a line that read it “Hurts to see” comments like this and that we shouldn’t be made “ungrateful towards our armed forces” by anything, also adding “Woh hain toh aaj hum hain.”
In support of Richa, Prakash Raj wrote that “we understand what you meant.”
Didn’t expect this from you @akshaykumar ..having said that @RichaChadha is more relevant to our country than you s… https://t.co/OTry4znJef
— Prakash Raj (@prakashraaj) 1669396260000All this started when Richa reacted to a statement by Upendra Dwivedi, the Northern Army Commander Lt General, who said that the Indian Army is “waiting for orders from the govt” in reclaiming Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had recently remarked that the country is committed to implementing the resolution passed in the Parliament about retrieving Kashmir under illegal occupation of Pakistan.
Richa commented on the Lt General's statement, writing, “Galwan says hi.” This tweet made hell break loose on social media as people started to criticize her for allegedly insulting the army.
However, Richa issued an apology statement on Twitter on Thursday. She said it could never be her intention to hurt her “brothers in the Fauj” or anyone citing that her Nanaji and Mamaji served in the Indian Armed Forces as well.
