Ponniyin Selvan 2 makers share BTS video of actors having fun on the sets

Ponniyin Selvan 2 makers recently dropped a BTS video of the actors enjoying on the set of the movie. Lyca Productions took it to Twitter to share the video showcasing the fun the team had while making PS1 and PS2. The video gave a tiny glimpse into the making of the movies. A few fun moments of Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Chiyaan during the interviews of Ponniyin Selvan 1 were also shared.



The sequel of blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan 1 is one of the most awaited movies and is all set to grace the theatres on April 28, 2023. The makers of the highly-anticipated PS 2 are reportedly set for the grand launch of the trailer and audio on April 5. The event is expected to take place in Chennai and will follow the same pattern as the first instalment. Official confirmation of the trailer and audio launch date is anticipated shortly.


Ponniyin Selvan, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel of the same name, is set to feature a star-studded cast with Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini, Trisha as Kundavai, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan and Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu and Aishwarya Lekshmi will also be part of the cast.

The movie is produced by Mani Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran under Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions and will have music by AR Rahman. Fans are eagerly waiting to hear Rahman's new chartbusters after the success of Ponniyin Selvan 1.
