'Ponniyin Selvan 2' collects Rs 11 crore in advance booking sales, Vikram starrer to hit theatres tomorrow

Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set to be released in theatres tomorrow, April 28. It comes as a sequel to the original film which crossed over Rs 500 crore at the box office and that's why the expectations are set high.

As per the speculations, Mani Ratnam's directorial sequel is anticipated to make Rs 1,000 crore at the box office. As the movie's release approaches, the entire cast of the film has been actively promoting it, travelling throughout the country.

Ponniyin Selvan 2's box office day 1 earnings are highly awaited as the original movie managed to earn more than Rs 80 crore on its opening day, which sets the bar and expectations high.


Their latest promotional tour in Trichy has concluded, and the movie is all set for release. Reportedly, the advance booking for the movie's first week release in Tamil Nadu has surpassed Rs 6 crore.

Furthermore, the worldwide gross from advance ticket booking for 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' has allegedly reached Rs 11 crore.

Vikram, Jayaram Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai will be in lead roles in the upcoming sequel. Additionally, the supporting cast includes Parthiban, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhitha Dhulipala, Prabhu and Vikram Prabhu.
