Political leaders and celebrities attend Swara Bhasker, Fahad Ahmad's wedding reception in Delhi

Actor Swara Bhasker and politician Fahad Ahmad hosted their wedding reception on Thursday in Delhi, which was attended by several political leaders and celebrities. A paparazzi account shared a video on Instagram that showed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi standing alongside Swara, her parents, and Fahad. Rahul was seen wearing a white kurta and pyjama while Swara was dressed in a pink and golden lehenga, while Fahad wore a cream-coloured sherwani with a white pyjama.


In another video, actor and Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan was seen along with TMC leader Derek O’Brien. As she entered the venue, she shook hands with Shashi Tharoor and greeted him.



Swara shared photos on Twitter of herself and Fahad from their Qawwali night, which was attended by former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav. Swara expressed her happiness and honour to welcome him to the festivities.


Recently, Swara and Fahad spoke about their wedding plans and how they planned things that are common to both their traditions. They both planned to celebrate their identities and were proud of them. They planned common traditions, such as ‘haldi’, which is called ‘ubtan’ in Muslim culture, mehendi, and sangeet, which happens on both sides.
