Earlier in the day, reports emerged that PM Modi's has significantly reduced the size of his convoy during recent domestic visits while retaining all mandatory security arrangements under Special Protection Group (SPG) protocols, TOI reported. The move was implemented during Modi’s recent visits to Gujarat, Assam and Hyderabad as part of broader efforts aimed at reducing fuel consumption and encouraging sustainable practices amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
SPG begins implementing revised convoy measures
Sources told TOI that the SPG has already started implementing the instruction while ensuring there is no compromise on the mandatory security guidelines laid down in the Blue Book.
