Noida Traffic Police implemented a large-scale diversion plan on Saturday morning, restricting the movement of all categories of goods vehicles across major arterial routes in anticipation of the Noida International Airport's Phase 1 launch. The enforcement, which covers the Noida–Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressways until 11 pm tonight, aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled arrival at 12 noon in Jewar. While commercial transport remains largely halted on these corridors, the traffic department has established a corridor for emergency services, including ambulances and fire brigades, to ensure essential mobility is not compromised during the high-profile state event.

Commuters arriving from Meerut and Ghaziabad are being redirected via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, with instructions to exit at the Sirsa Toll and navigate through designated roundabouts to reach the inauguration site. For those traveling from Mathura and Aligarh, the advisory specifies an exit at the Jewar Cut followed by entry through the Sabauta Underpass and Kishorpur Gate. Additionally, traffic originating from Hapur and Bulandshahr is being funneled along the Jewar-Khurja road with a mandated entry point at the Parohi Gate.

Restrictions on Goods Vehicles and Emergency Provisions

The Noida Traffic Police has officially restricted the movement of heavy goods vehicles (HGV), medium goods vehicles (MGV), and light goods vehicles (LGV) on the primary expressways and all connecting nearby routes. These restrictions are scheduled to remain in place throughout the 16-hour window ending at 11 pm. The advisory clarifies that these curbs do not apply to emergency vehicles, which are permitted to use the restricted routes to maintain critical services during the airport launch festivities.
