'Plastic Not Allowed!': Dia Mirza trolled after 5-year-old son's stern warning to coconut delivery man on plastic bags and straws
Actress Dia Mirza sparked a social media debate after recounting her son Avyaan's encounter with a coconut delivery man over plastic packaging. Mirza shared on a podcast how her five-year-old son lectured the vendor about their 'no plastic' home ...

The incident came to light during a conversation on a podcast hosted by actress Soha Ali Khan, where Dia proudly recounted how her son reacted when coconut water arrived at their home in plastic packaging.
According to Dia, Avyaan opened the door and immediately challenged the delivery person over the plastic bag and straw.
"The coconut wala delivered the coconut and nothing burns my blood more than coconut water arriving in plastic bags with plastic straws," Dia said. She recalled her son standing with his hands on his hips and telling the delivery worker, "Bhaiya plastic me lekar aaye hai, hamari ghar mein plastic not allowed, aap usko plastic se nikalo, usko neeche rakho aur plastic aur straw leke jao."
Podcast host Soha Ali Khan appeared impressed by the youngster's confidence, saying, "Imagine standing up to somebody who is an adult and to have that conviction."
Many users accused Dia of encouraging entitled behaviour and failing to teach basic courtesy toward service workers.
One critic wrote, "A child scolds a poor coconut vendor, who sells door to door trying to make ends meet in scorching Indian summers, to 'take back his plastic,' while adults celebrate it as 'standing up to a grown-up.' Then the mother of the said child appears on camera, fully decked out in 20+ makeup products for that perfect dewy glow… Guess what those products are sold in? You guessed it right — plastic packaging!"
"A poor chap was delivering a coconut in plastic packaging with a straw and her child lectured him that 'this is a no plastic home'. Imagine doing hard work in unbearable heat and get lectured and talked down to Dia should apologise for (1) the rude behaviour and (2) smugly telling the story," wrote another.
