In the video, titled “Come plane shopping with me”, Bloom explained that her father came up with the idea while searching for the perfect wedding anniversary present. When the family arrived, a sales associate had several aircraft parked outside for them to inspect.

She later explored another plane with her parents, which turned out to be her mother's preferred option because it required the least customisation.
Bloom said her mother had recently undergone hip surgery, prompting her father to prioritise an aircraft that would be easy for her to enter and exit.
Her mother also asked the pilot to take a photograph of her inside the cockpit so she could “flex on her Asian mom's group chat.”
How much does a new Gulfstream jet cost?
Bloom did not mention the specific Gulfstream model her family was considering. However, new Gulfstream private jets can cost between $25 million and more than $100 million, depending on the aircraft's model, size and level of interior customisation.The Gulfstream G280 starts at around $25 million, while the G500 is priced at about $50 million and the G600 at around $58 million. The G650ER costs roughly $70 million to $78 million, while the G700 is priced at around $75 million to $80 million. The G800 starts at more than $80 million and can exceed $100 million with extensive customisation.
These figures provide an indication of Gulfstream's new-jet prices, but they do not establish which aircraft Bloom and her parents were considering.

Who is Becca Bloom?
Bloom, whose real name is Rebecca Ma, has been dubbed the “queen of RichTok”. She is the daughter of Chinese technology entrepreneurs Simon Ma and Heidi Chou, who met while working at IBM in Silicon Valley before later co-founding Camelot Information Systems.Bloom started her own company while still in high school. After completing school, she took her first semester of college off to focus on her businesses before later attending the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
She studied business and economics as an undergraduate, according to a 2025 interview with the Wall Street Journal.
Bloom began posting snippets of her life on TikTok in 2025. The same year, she married software engineer David Pownall in a lavish wedding at Lake Como, an event that drew comparisons to moments from “Crazy Rich Asians”.
