Photograph of an Afghan refugee who looks like Amitabh Bachchan goes viral
A picture of a refugee from Afghanistan is getting a lot of reaction on the internet because of his similarities with the Bollywood megastar.

Fans of Amitabh Bachchan were surprised to see a photo of an Afghan refugee that resembled the Bollywood superstar. Afghan refugee Shabuz, who lives in Pakistan, is being compared with Big B for his facial features, which many find uncanny.
Steve McCurry took the photo and shared it on social media, which thrilled Big B fans. It's interesting to note that Steve shared the picture in 2018 and many claimed the image was the first glimpse of senior AB's character Khudabaksh from his upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan which was set for release at the time.
McCurry shared the picture on World Refugee Day, after which the picture again caught attention online.
While people generally appreciated the portrait, there were many desi fans who mistook it for a picture of Amitabh Bachchan.
The similarities between the Afghan refugee and Big B are certainly visible. McCurry wrote while sharing the image, "This portrait of Shabuz, an Afghan refugee living in Pakistan, reminds us of the millions of displaced peoples around the world. The unprecedented humanitarian crises across the globe, have resulted in the largest number of refugees in history. A hundred million people have been displaced from their homes. We must all redouble our efforts to support these people, who through no fault of their own, find themselves in vulnerable and precarious situations (sic)."
However, after hearing a refugee's story, many netizens got emotional. "This is a portrait of the reality of our world," commented one, while another said, "It's a really beautiful portrait (sic)."
