It marks the transition from winter to spring, making it a celebration of new beginnings. Moreover, the vibrant festival of Holi is observed on this Purnima Tithi, adding to the day’s special charm. Holika Dahan:
To honor the story of Prahlad and Holika, a bonfire is lit on the eve of Holi, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.


Lakshami Jayanti: This holiday commemorates the birth of Goddess Lakshmi, the revered embodiment of wealth and prosperity.

Satyanarayan Puja: Devotees worship Lord Vishnu in his Satyanarayan form during this puja, seeking blessings for wealth and overall wellbeing.

Phalguna Purnima 2025: Puja Rituals

1. Begin your day with a pre-dawn bath during Brahma Muhurta, adding a few drops of Gangajal (holy Ganges water) to purify the water.
2. After bathing, offer Arghya to the Sun God to receive blessings for prosperity and good health.

3. Set up a clean altar with an idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. Decorate the altar with flowers, incense, lamps, and food offerings, apply tilak with sandalwood paste, and recite the Satya Narayana Vrat Katha.
4. Include mantra chanting in your ritual by reciting Vishnu mantras to appease the Lord.
5. Since yellow is considered auspicious for Lord Vishnu, present him with yellow fruits and flowers during the puja, and prepare Kasaar or Panjeeri along with Panchamrit.
6. Perform Aarti to Lord Vishnu to express your gratitude and seek his blessings as you conclude the puja rituals.
7. Embrace the spirit of charity by donating essentials like clothes, rice, sesame seeds, jaggery, or other necessities to those in need, as giving is believed to attract divine graces.
8. After sighting the full moon and completing the Satya Narayana Puja, break your fast by sharing sattvik food and distributing the bhog prasadam among your family members.
