On March 26, Nayara Energy, India’s largest private fuel retailer, increased petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel by ₹3 per litre. Following the hike, petrol at Nayara outlets is priced at ₹100.71 per litre, while diesel is selling at ₹91.31 per litre.

Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on April 2, 2026, even as global crude oil benchmarks edged higher amid rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia. Petrol is selling at Rs 94.77 per litre in Delhi, while diesel is priced at Rs 87.67 per litre. Despite fluctuations in international oil markets, the Indian government has indicated that petrol and diesel prices are expected to remain stable for now. Global crude prices have been highly volatile in recent days due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has revised fuel prices in Delhi, with XP100 (100-octane petrol) seeing a significant increase from ₹149 per litre to ₹160 per litre. The price of Xtra Green (premium diesel) has also been raised, climbing from ₹91.49 per litre to ₹92.99 per litre. These updated rates are applicable at IOCL retail outlets in the national capital, while prices at BPCL and HPCL pumps may vary slightly by a few paise.
