Peru: Thieves steal 200 sneakers worth $13,000 but only for the right foot
Local police not only got evidence at the scene but also ensured that they would successfully find the thieves.

However, what left most baffled was that the robbers took only one part of a pair, meaning, they forgot to take the shoes for the left foot and the store is now short of 200 right-footed shoes. The stolen shoes are worth $13,000 (£10,000) according to the shop owner. But, it’s evident that the thieves might have a hard time making a profit out of only right-footed sneakers.
The entire robbery was even captured by the surveillance cameras of the store. The footage revealed how the men broke the padlock on the shop’s shutter at night and used a tricycle to take boxes of trainers from a range of brands, as per the report.
In the aftermath, local police chief Eduan Díaz told Peruvian media that they had gathered evidence at the scene. He also revealed that the “unusual thing” about the robbery is that shoes from only the right foot have been stolen. Diaz said that law enforcement will be able to locate the individuals as their footage and fingerprints were captured.
