'Peak Bengaluru': Internet goes crazy over auto driver installing office chair in rickshaw for extra comfort

In yet another case of auto drivers of Bengaluru going viral, one auto driver has garnered attention for installing an office swivel chair as his driver’s seat.

This unique modification was captured in a viral photo shared by X user Shivani Matlapudi, who appreciated the auto driver's ingenuity.

Another netizen shared that he had travelled in the same auto, praising the driver's ingenuity. Not everyone was impressed, as some voiced concerns regarding safety and legality. "That likely violates a section of the Motor Vehicles Act. Every component needs to be certified, particularly those related to safety," noted one commenter who claimed to work in the design department of a German truck manufacturing firm.



Recently, a Bengaluru auto rickshaw driver captured the attention of social media users with a unique twist on contactless payments. In a viral image, the driver is seen presenting a QR code to a passenger using his smartwatch. The image was accompanied by the caption, "Auto anna pulled out the #peakBengaluru move."

The viral post has been shared by several users on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The post which appears to have been first shared by a user named Vishvajeet received over 27,000 likes. It witnessed 580K-plus views.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister for railways, information and broadcasting, electronics and information technology also shared the picture. "UPI का swag Payments made super easy," wrote Vaishnaw in the post.
