'Pathaan' Day 2 Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer breaks all records; Collects whopping Rs 70 crore on Republic Day

'Pathaan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, broke all box office records on its first day by an unprecedented margin. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles, grossed Rs 57 crore on its first day, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film ever released on a non-holiday.


'Pathaan' is expected to have a better Day 2 than usual, according to reports. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer reportedly earned more than Rs 70 crore on Thursday, capitalising on the Republic Day 2023 holiday. Pathaan has now surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in India in just two days, earning more than Rs 125 crore in its first two days. Pathaan earned Rs 106 crore internationally, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.



'Pathaan' has now surpassed the collections of Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 and Hrithik Roshan's War to become the highest-grossing Hindi film on Day 1 in history.


'Pathaan' marks Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screen in a leading role after a four-year absence. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, is the third instalment in Yash Raj Films' Spy Verse. Among the films in the YRF Spy Verse will be Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan franchise, Salman Khan's Tiger series, and Hrithik Roshan's War, which will also be turned into a spy-thriller franchise.


Salman Khan also made a special cameo appearance in 'Pathaan', appearing in his 'Tiger' avatar and assisting Pathaan in fighting the bad guys. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan will also appear in Salman Khan's upcoming film, 'Tiger 3'.


'Tiger 3', which also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, will be released in theatres on Diwali 2023. Maneesh Sharma is the film's director.
