'Pathaan' Box office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan starrer becomes third highest grosser after 'Baahubali 2' and 'Dangal'

'Pathaan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, is having a dream run at the box office and shows no signs of slowing down. 'Pathaan'' hit the Rs. 650 crore milestone at the global box office on its ninth day of release, according to trade expert Ramesh Bala. The film earned between Rs. 15 crore and Rs. 16 crore on its second Thursday.


'Pathaan' made a fantastic debut at the domestic box office, grossing Rs. 57 crore on Wednesday. Because the movie was released in the middle of the week, it had a five-day extended weekend and crossed the Rs. 500 crore milestone globally during that period. This made it the highest-grossing opening weekend in Hindi film history. 'Pathaan', directed by Siddharth Anand, has failed to surpass the domestic receipts of KGF Chapter 2 and Baahubali 2, but only in Hindi dubbed versions of these films. Pathaan is on the verge of smashing Dangal's existing record of Rs. 387.38 crore.



After 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', and 'War', 'Pathaan' is the fourth film in the newly constructed YRF spy world. Salman Khan appeared as his character Tiger in 'Pathaan'. Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is doing well in theatres and, with no major releases this weekend, will most likely continue to dominate the box office. Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan, was supposed to be released on February 10, but it has been pushed back until February 17.


'Pathaan' marks Shah Rukh's comeback to the big screen after a four-year absence. In 2018, the actor was seen in Aanand L Rai's ‘Zero’. SRK will also appear in Atlee's ‘Jawan’, alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, alongside Taapsee Pannu, this year.
