'Pathaan' Box office Advance Booking: Shah Rukh Khan's triumphant return is expected to gross Rs. 40 crore on its first day

'Pathaan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, is off to a flying start, with advance bookings opening on Thursday. Despite just being offered at a few locations, the film has already sold 1.17 lakh tickets across three major cinema chains. Advance bookings will officially begin today, one week before the film's highly anticipated theatrical debut.

According to reports, the film had already sold 51,000 seats at INOX, 38,000 at PVR, and over 27,000 at Cinepolis before 11pm on Thursday.

Shah Rukh's first leading role in more than four years, Pathaan, is expected to earn between Rs. 39 crore and Rs. 41 crore on its opening day, according to reports. The actor last starred in a movie. After 'Fan', 'Raees', and 'Jab Harry Met Sejal', 'Zero' was Shah Rukh's fourth consecutively underwhelming film. The actor appeared in three movies last year: 'Brahmastra', 'Laal Singh Chaddha', and 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.'


'Pathaan' won't be able to surpass Shah Rukh's all-time highest opening, even if it manages to reach the Rs. 40 crore mark on opening day.

'Pathaan', which is directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is the first film in Yash Raj Films' much-touted shared universe of detective films.
