Punjabi singer and actor Parmish Verma drew widespread praise after pausing his concert in Sri Ganganagar to assist a young child who was found crying alone in the crowd, according to a viral video that has sparked conversations about child safety at public events.

The incident took place during Verma’s performance at Ramlila Maidan as part of the ‘Kick the Drugs-Pickup Sports’ campaign. While the concert was underway, security personnel noticed a frightened child near the stage without any apparent supervision.

For the child’s safety, security staff brought him onto the stage. Verma halted the performance after noticing the situation and sought to determine what had happened. He comforted the child and appealed to both his team and the audience to help locate the child's parents.

A woman later came forward and identified herself as the child's mother. Reports indicated that she had left the child near the ramp while she focused on recording videos and taking photographs during the event.

Addressing the woman from the stage, Verma questioned where she had been while the child was crying alone and urged parents to exercise greater caution at crowded gatherings. He stressed the importance of remaining attentive to children in such environments.

The episode has also prompted broader discussions about parental responsibility and the need to ensure children's safety at crowded public events.
