This amusing incident unfolded following an Instagram video by influencer Zervaan J Bunshah, who humorously pondered, "If you meet the owner of Parle, do you call him Parle sir, Mr. Parle, or Parle G?"

For the uninitiated, Parle started its operations way back in 1929. Mohanlal Dayal founded the House of Parle in 1928. The first factory was set up in 1929 with just 12 people making confectionery. Later in early eighties, Parle Gluco was rechristened to Parle-G.
In 2011, Parle-G consolidated its position as the world’s largest-selling biscuit brand.
Parle G had been a comfort food for many, rich and poor alike, who won't drink their daily tea without it. Legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar once even said that he used to pack lots of Parle G biscuits for his overseas tours.
