Rumours surrounding Vijay and Trisha Krishnan continue to dominate social media conversations, especially after reports of Vijay’s separation from wife Sangeetha Sornalingam surfaced earlier this year. Now, singer and media personality Suchitra has added fuel to the ongoing speculation with a series of strong remarks during a recent interview.

The buzz around Vijay and Trisha intensified after the two were spotted together at a wedding reception in March. Videos and photographs from the event quickly went viral online, leading to renewed discussion about their relationship. Suchitra says she supports Vijay but ‘doesn’t like Trisha’

Speaking in a recent interview quoted by Firstpost, Suchitra made it clear that she admires Vijay but does not share the same opinion about Trisha.


“I don't like Trisha at all. I will tell this objectively and will not let it colour my judgment. I like Vijay very much. I will give my opinion honestly without taking sides,” she said.

Her comments quickly spread across social media platforms, with many users debating whether celebrities should publicly comment on personal rumours involving fellow actors.

During the interview, Suchitra also reflected on Vijay’s personal life and growing political journey. According to her, the actor has distanced himself from key people in his life, which she believes may have left him isolated.

“Parasites tend to enter the lives of successful people when they become isolated. Vijay has isolated himself by distancing himself from his parents and wife. He is alone but has done no soul-searching till now,” she said.

The singer further added that Vijay could benefit from guidance from his father, veteran filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar, especially now that he has stepped into politics.

Suchitra’s remarks have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing with her observations while others criticised her for commenting on Vijay’s private life.

Vijay and Sangeetha divorce case still ongoing

Speculation around Vijay’s personal life increased significantly after reports emerged that his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had filed for divorce in December 2025.

Although the filing reportedly happened late last year, news of the case became public only in February after it came up before the Chengalpatty Family Welfare Court.

According to reports, Sangeetha cited infidelity and mental distress as grounds for ending their 27-year marriage. The next hearing in the case is reportedly scheduled for June 15.

Neither Vijay nor Sangeetha has issued a detailed public statement regarding the matter so far.

Trisha’s personal life also returns to spotlight

Amid the ongoing rumours, Trisha Krishnan’s past relationships have once again become a topic of online discussion.

The actress was previously engaged to businessman Varun Manian, but the engagement was eventually called off. At the time, Trisha addressed speculation surrounding her personal life through a social media post.

“Amused by d hazaar speculations doin d rounds, Let it rest people. Happy, single n thankful,” she had written.

As rumours around Vijay and Trisha continue circulating online, neither actor has confirmed or denied the claims, leaving social media users and entertainment followers speculating about the nature of their relationship.
