The front of the Pakistan jersey has two shades of green - light and dark - while the sleeves feature dark forest green colour.

“The big reveal! Presenting the official Pakistan T20I Thunder Jersey’22,” PCB wrote on Twitter and Instagram while posting a video of the players in the new kit on Monday.

— Pakistan Cricket (@TheRealPCB) 1663592588000The front of the jersey has two shades of green - light and dark - while the sleeves feature dark forest green colour. Therein lies the problem. Many in Pakistan and outside feel the jersey resembles a watermelon, and they are letting it known on social media.
One user posted pictures of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and a watermelon side by side to drive his point.
Close enough !! #Jersey https://t.co/TnBXdhhPIA

— Udit (@udit_buch) 1663647332000Some declared openly they wanted nothing to do with the 'tarbooz' jersey and even DMed the PCB saying there was still time before the tournament opener on October 23 to change it.
But there were some who felt it was a decent coloured jersey and that it need not be changed.
@TheRealPCB It is a decent kit and will look alot better if team performs well in world cup which matters more than anything to be fair !!!

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia which set the return of star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi to the team. Afridi was ruled out of the Asia Cup after being advised a 4-6 weeks rest by the medical team following an injury to the right knee ligament.
