Despite the political tension between India and Pakistan, there is no denying the cultural similarities that exist between the two countries. And in a heartwarming display of this shared culture, a group of students from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) celebrated Bollywood Day in style.

The students, who were bidding farewell to their university, dressed up as various iconic Bollywood characters and performed their dialogues. The video of their celebration was initially posted on TikTok and quickly went viral on social media platforms.

The students' creativity and enthusiasm were evident as they dressed up as Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan's character from Dabangg; Paresh Rawal's character from Hera Pheri; and Alia Bhatt's character from Student of the Year. The attention to detail in their costumes was commendable, as they managed to capture the essence of each character perfectly.

However, the video received mixed reactions from netizens. While some people criticised the celebration of Indian culture in Pakistan, others defended the students and praised their love for Bollywood. Regardless of the opinions, it is heartening to see how cultural exchanges can bring people together, even in the face of political differences.

It is worth noting that Bollywood has a significant following in Pakistan, and many Pakistani actors and actresses have made their mark in the Indian film industry. This celebration by the LUMS students is a testament to the power of Bollywood to bridge cultural gaps and bring people together.
