Marriyum Aurangzeb opted for a range of traditional ensembles for the wedding celebrations. For one function, she wore a green, heavily embroidered salwar kameez, styled with a braided hairstyle, bold glam, a statement choker, maang tikka, and jhumkis. For another function, she chose a muted green kurta set featuring sequin embroidery, fine threadwork, and crystal-embellished tassels. Who is Marriyum Aurangzeb?
Marriyum Aurangzeb is a Pakistani politician who currently serves as senior minister in the government of Punjab. Marriyum Aurangzeb is Punjab’s senior minister for information and environment and is gaining attention online for her striking facial transformation at the wedding of Junaid Safdar and Shanzay Ali Rohail. The 45-year-old is a prominent politician in Pakistan and is affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League‑Nawaz (PML‑N) since 2013.Born in 1980 to a political family in Lahore, Marriyum Aurangzeb completed her FSc. in Premedical in September 1996 and then Bachelor of Arts in September 1998, both from Federal Government College, Islamabad. She holds Master of Science degree in Economics from Quaid-i-Azam University. She did her Master of Science in Environment and Development from King's College London in 2003, according to a report in Hindustan Times.
Earlier in her career, she was elected to Pakistan’s National Assembly on a seat reserved for women, first in 2013 and again in 2018. She went on to serve as Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting from 2016 to 2018, and later from April 2022 to August 2023, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
