Raveena Tandon says receiving Padma Shri honour in presence of family was the proudest moment

Actor Raveena Tandon was bestowed with the Padma Shri honour recently for her contribution in the field of arts. She was conferred with the fourth-highest civilian honour by President Droupadi Murmu. The actor said that receiving the Padma Shri in front of her family was the best and proudest moment, according to a report.

Raveena went to receive the Padma Shri honour along with her husband Anil Thadani, daughter Rasha and son Ranbir Thadani.

In an interaction with Mid-Day, the National Award-winning actor said that after receiving the Padma Shri, she had looked at her husband and children and felt "everything has been worth it".


Earlier, Raveena had said that her father's dream was to see her being conferred with the Padma Shri honour.

While Raveena's family members and other members of film fraternity congratulated her, a section of social media users raised questions whether Raveena deserved the Padma Shri or not. In a strong rebuttal, Raveena said that trolling doesn't affect her, as per the Mid-Day report.



The actor, whose career spans over three decades in the Hindi movie industry, was seen in commercial blockbuster "KGF 2". Raveena will be seen next in the romantic-comedy Ghudchadi. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Khushali Kumar, Parth Samthan, and others.
