Anupam Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com and a judge on Shark Tank India, humorously called on Ritesh Agarwal, the CEO of OYO Rooms, to collaborate on dedicated discount codes, in response to OYO's new check-in policy for unmarried couples starting in January. The policy, which requires unmarried couples to show proof of their relationship when checking into OYO's partner hotels in Meerut, sparked considerable attention on social media. Mittal's tweet added to the conversation, gaining traction on platforms like X (formerly Twitter).

In his post, Mittal wrote, “Ab toh @ShaadiDotCom par ‘OYO’ discount code banta hai. Whatsay @riteshagar?” This playful comment drew various reactions from users, with many sharing their own creative "discount codes" and joking about the need for discounts even among successful entrepreneurs.

Internet Reactions to Mittal’s Post

While Ritesh Agarwal has not yet responded to Mittal’s tweet, X users quickly joined the fun. One user suggested that OYO should offer a discount code for wedding venues, prompting Mittal to humorously reply, “Karein?” Another user proposed a creative idea: “How about sponsoring the first two nights of the honeymoon for a newly married couple in premium OYO properties who were matched on @ShaadiDotCom?” Mittal responded saying, “Arre baba .. itna toh hum Nahin lete but we can certainly consider a lottery system and give these out to a few ppl every month @ShaadiDotCom.”

In addition, a third user joked, “@AnupamMittal Bhai ‘Alimony’ insurance ka package lao @ShaadiDotCom,” while another user commented, “Basically you are offering @ShaadiDotCom discount code to ‘OYO’ give and take, dono ka fayda.”

Mittal's playful banter reflects his ability to engage with the audience while commenting on the new OYO policy, which has sparked plenty of humor and discussions online.
