Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16c launched in India: Check price, battery, camera, specs and sale date

Oppo on Thursday launched the Reno 16 and Reno 16c smartphones in India, expanding its mid-range Reno lineup weeks after the series debuted in China.

The smartphones are available in three colour options and will go on sale from July 9 through Amazon, Flipkart and the Oppo India online store. While the Reno 16 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the Reno 16c comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor.

The Oppo Reno 16 starts at Rs 61,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 67,999.


The Oppo Reno 16c is priced at Rs 46,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models cost Rs 49,999 and Rs 55,999, respectively.

The company is offering an instant cashback of 10% on purchases made using eligible SBI, HDFC Bank and other bank credit cards.

Both smartphones are available in Starry White, Stellar Purple and Twilight Violet colour options.

Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16c display

The Oppo Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,216×2,640 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 460ppi pixel density and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.

The Reno 16c sports a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,372 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 397ppi pixel density and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.

The Oppo Reno 16 runs on Qualcomm's octa core Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The Reno 16c is powered by the octa core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Both smartphones run Android 16-based ColorOS 16 and support in-display fingerprint authentication and face unlock.

Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16c camera features

The Oppo Reno 16 features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with an 80mm equivalent focal length.

The Reno 16c shares the same primary and telephoto cameras but replaces the 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

Both smartphones include a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Oppo Reno 16 houses a 6,700mAh battery, while the Reno 16c packs a larger 7,000mAh battery. Both models support 80W wired fast charging.

Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16c connectivity and durability

The smartphones offer 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS connectivity.

Oppo claims both devices come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Oppo Reno 16 measures 151.21×72.42×8.36mm and weighs around 193g, while the Reno 16c measures 158.16×74.92×8.58mm and weighs approximately 197g.
