Dhanashree Verma, known for her dance videos and recent musical releases, has spoken about her personal life following her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. In an interview with ETimes, she said she is focusing on her work and personal development, and not actively seeking love at the moment.

‘Love can’t be planned’

When asked about finding love again after divorce, Dhanashree said, "Pyaar ki baat karein, toh you can’t plan these things. Aap ye decide nahi kar sakte ke main aaj ya ek saal baad pyaar mein padhungi. Love is a different entity altogether."

She said her current focus is on becoming the best version of herself and staying committed to her career. "What matters most to me is mera focus aur main apne life mein aage kya dekh rahi hoon," she said.

She added, "Right now, it’s all about work, growth, and apne aap ko present karna in the best way possible. Aur agar naseeb mein achha likha hai, then why not—who doesn’t want love in life? But for now, I’m focusing on my career and giving it my all."

Focused journey after separation

Dhanashree said she has always been driven by goals, whether as a dentist or now as a performer. "I’ve always been extremely focused on my goals, whether it was during my time as a dentist or now in the entertainment industry," she said.

Her focus remained the same after moving into dance and choreography. "Meri classes best honi chahiye. I wanted to inspire students, share my knowledge of dance, and help build perfect personalities. It’s never just about teaching steps; it’s also about how you carry and present yourself in front of the audience. Ye sab sirf tabhi possible hai jab aap super focused ho."

Now, with work in the Telugu and Hindi entertainment industries, she said she is committed to growing through creative projects.

Personal decisions under public spotlight

Dhanashree and Chahal were married in December 2020 after meeting during the pandemic. He had approached her through social media for dance lessons. After four years, the couple chose to part ways. Their separation became public after they unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to speculation.

She addressed public scrutiny around her personal life in the interview. "The narratives circulating around me are far from the truth. None of it reflects who I am, and I don’t engage with it because I know my values, my upbringing, and the kind of person I am. I’ve always believed in maintaining dignity and grace. Putting others down has never been my way, and it never helps anyone rise in life."

She said faith and self-discipline have helped her stay grounded. "I’m a deeply spiritual person, and my faith in God and the universe keeps me grounded."

Work as a source of healing

Dhanashree said her work helped her cope with personal challenges. "What’s helped me through personal challenges is, honestly, my work, especially dance. But beyond that, it’s been the full creative journey: acting, singing, making new music, and finally getting to do things I should’ve started years ago."

She added, "These changes have been for the better. I feel positive, peaceful, and aligned with where I’m headed."
