OnePlus 15 launches in India today: Check time of release, features, price, camera and battery

OnePlus launches its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in India today, marking the debut of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in the country. The new device positions itself as a strong contender in the premium smartphone market.

Alongside the main launch, the company is expected to introduce the OnePlus 15R at a later date, which may arrive as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6.

The OnePlus 15 launch event begins at 7:00 PM IST and will be streamed live on the official OnePlus website and YouTube channel. Sales open from 8:00 PM IST on Amazon India and the OnePlus India online store.


Reports indicate that the OnePlus 15 is priced below ₹75,000, with the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant likely to cost around ₹72,999. The previous flagship, the OnePlus 13, debuted at ₹69,999.

The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch BOE X3 8T LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen delivers up to 1800 nits of peak brightness.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with the Adreno 840 GPU, the smartphone supports configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on OxygenOS 16 based on Android.

The device houses a 7300mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, offering fast and efficient power delivery.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 15 houses a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope lens. On the front, it features a 32MP camera capable of 4K video recording, while the rear setup supports up to 8K recording at 30fps.

Design and connectivity

The device measures 8.31mm in thickness and weighs around 215 grams. It carries IP66/68/69/69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
