'One doesn't see age in love. It just happens': 19-year-old girl marries 70-year-old 'baba' in Pakistan

Recently, a 19-year-old and a 70-year-old couple got married in Pakistan, leaving their families and relatives shocked.

This incredible love story is shared by Syed Basit Ali, a hugely popular YouTuber in Pakistan who has built a reputation for sharing such love stories from the South Asian country. Basit conducts interviews of such couples with a big age difference, as well as stories from people from various walks of life and professions.

Basit's latest love story is about a 70-year-old baba from Pakistan who married a 19-year-old woman. The couple got married despite a huge age difference and didn't pay much attention to others' opinions. The baba believes "he is very young at heart."


The couple, identified as Liaquat Ali, 70, and Shumaila Ali, 19, accepted that their love blossomed during their daily morning walks in Lahore. Ali made a big impression on Shumaila when he sang a song, which led to the beginning of their unique love story.

According to Shumaila, "One doesn't see age in love. It just happens. " She further added that her parents had an objection to their marriage, but eventually she managed to convince them. "My parents objected for a while, but we were able to convince them," the 19-year-old said.

"People shouldn't comment on people who marry with vast age differences. They should be respected for their decision. It's their life, they can live it the way they want," she further added.

Sharing his thoughts on their unique love story, Liaquat Ali said that he is very young at heart despite being 70. "Age is not a factor when it comes to romance," he said.
