Ola Electric to make a big push into the e-bikes segment; Teased five new electric bikes. Here’s all you need to know
Ola Electric has teased the silhouettes of five new electric motorcycles that it plans to launch in India as it expands into a new market.
Currently, nothing is known about the new motorcycles. The teasers show the motorcycles' LED daytime running lamps. The motorcycles appear to be in the early stages of development; it appears to be a cafe racer, a cruiser, an adventure tourer, a scrambler, and a naked motorcycle.
According to reports, Ola Electric will release the motorcycle in three models: Ranger, Performax, and Out of the World. According to speculation, the electric motorcycles will have a price range similar to the electric scooters aimed at the mass market, with prices starting at Rs 85,000 and rising to Rs 1.25 lakh.
The launch order of these five motorcycles, as well as the exact launch dates, have yet to be announced. However, the new motorcycle lineup is expected to debut the first of these models in 2023.
Apart from that, Ola Electric has redesigned its S1 electric scooter lineup. The S1 Air electric scooter will now be available in three variants, each with a different battery size. A 2 kWh battery pack costs Rs. 84,999 and has an 85-kilometre range. Then there's a 3 kWh battery pack with 125 km of riding range that costs Rs. 9,999. Finally, the 4 kWh battery pack costs Rs. 1,09,999 and has a riding range of 165 km.
