Ola Electric may launch its first electric car on August 15

Ola Electric may launch its first electric car on the occasion of India's 75th Independence day, August 15. Bhavish Agarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, has hinted on Twitter that a new product will be launched on the day.

Bhavish shared a post on Twitter that has a teaser video of the company's upcoming product. While he did not name the new product, it is predicted that the company may launch its first electric car on August 15.

Ola has already revealed its plan for making electric cars in the near future, and has been tweeting about the same for quite sometime now. Bhavish Aggarwal's tweet reads as, “Super excited to announce a new product this August 15! Will also share more about our BIG future plans!!”



According to Aggarwal, the upcoming Ola electric car will be the ‘sportiest car ever built in India’.

In June, the company had teased a car, depicting sleeker-looking DRLs with the Ola logo at the front. The car is expected to be a 4-door sedan, with the the teaser video revealing the front and rear of the electric car.

Earlier, Agarwal had said that the Ola Electric Car will be launched in 2023. So, either the company has accelerated its plans, or it is only going to unveil the electric car.
