Odisha heatwave alert: IMD warns of rising temperatures in multiple districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that a heatwave is likely to continue in parts of Odisha for the next 24 hours.

According to IMD Bhubaneswar Director Manorama Mohanty, districts like Sambalpur, Sonepur, Balangir, and Jharsuguda will experience extreme heat.

However, relief is on the way as temperatures are expected to drop in interior districts from tomorrow.


People are advised to stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours.
