Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Bali trip takes painful turn: Actor suffers spinal fracture in accident, to be flown to Mumbai for surgery

Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has suffered a spinal fracture after an accident in Bali, where she was on a work-cum-holiday trip. Her publicist said she is currently hospitalised in Indonesia and will be brought back to Mumbai for surgery, ANI reported.

The actor remains under medical observation in Bali. Her team is making arrangements for an air ambulance to bring her back to Mumbai, where she is expected to undergo spine surgery following further medical evaluation.

Nushrratt Bharuccha hospitalised in Bali after accident

According to a statement issued by her publicist, Bharuccha sustained the injury during her stay in Bali.

“Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip, met with an unfortunate accident and suffered a fracture in her spine. She is currently hospitalised in Bali and remains under medical observation. Following further evaluation by the doctors, Nushrratt will be undergoing spine surgery,” the statement said, as quoted by ANI.

Her team said her immediate focus is on getting the required medical treatment and arranging her return to India.

Actor to return to Mumbai by air ambulance

The publicist said arrangements are being made to bring Bharuccha back to Mumbai from Bali by air ambulance.

“At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery,” the statement said.

The actor is expected to need time for rest and recovery following the injury and surgery. As a result, her professional commitments over the coming weeks are likely to be affected.

Nushrratt Bharuccha team asks for privacy

Bharuccha's publicist requested fans and the public to respect her privacy while she undergoes treatment and recovers from the injury.

“We are grateful for everyone's concern and good wishes and will share further updates as and when appropriate,” the statement said.

Nushrratt Bharuccha films and acting career

Bharuccha made her acting debut with Jai Santoshi Maa in 2006. She gained wider recognition after appearing in films including Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

Her filmography also includes Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Dream Girl, Chhalaang, Ajeeb Daastaans, Chhorii, Janhit Mein Jaari, Ram Setu, Selfiee, Akelli and Chhorii 2.

The actor is set to appear in an upcoming action film starring Tiger Shroff, which is being directed by Remo D'Souza.
