NTA to release UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, ICAR answer keys tomorrow, August 16: Check download steps, direct link and more

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will publish the provisional answer key for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination on August 16, 2026. Candidates will be able to view the answer key, question paper and individual response sheets through the official NTA UGC-NET portal.

NTA has also scheduled the release of provisional answer keys for UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 on the same date. Candidates have been advised to follow only official communications issued by the testing agency.

UGC-NET June 2026 exam dates

The UGC-NET June 2026 examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and PhD admissions in 87 subjects.

The main examination took place on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30. A re-examination was subsequently conducted at selected centres on July 5, 2026.

How to download UGC-NET answer key

Once the answer key link is activated, candidates can access their provisional answer key and response sheet through the official portal. The documents can be downloaded by following these steps:

1. Visit the official UGC-NET website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.


2. Select the link titled “UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key / Challenge Window”.


3. Log in using the application number and password or date of birth.


4. Open the response sheet, question paper and provisional answer key.


5. Download the available documents.


6. Compare the response sheet with the provisional key to calculate the estimated score.

Candidates should keep copies of the downloaded documents for use during the answer key challenge process.

UGC-NET answer key challenge process

The objection window will open alongside the provisional answer key. Candidates who believe an answer is incorrect can raise an objection through the designated online portal.

NTA will charge a non-refundable processing fee for each challenged question. Valid objections will be reviewed before the agency prepares the final answer key.

Final answer key and result policy

The final UGC-NET result will be prepared on the basis of the revised final answer key after eligible objections have been considered. NTA will not accept requests for re-checking or re-evaluation after the final answer key is issued.

Candidates should carefully review their response sheets and the provisional answers and submit any objections through the prescribed online process within the specified challenge period.
