‘Now listen if you are serious’: Mohan Das Pai replies to CJP’s Sourav Das ‘All our uncles have greatest gyan to give’ comment after Rajasthan incident
Mohan Das Pai has urged the CJP to replace confrontational school visits with a structured nationwide inspection programme following a Rajasthan clash. He suggested sending volunteers in pairs, obtaining permission, documenting school conditions b...

Responding to CJP spokesperson Sourav Das, Pai asked volunteers to form groups of two, seek permission before visiting schools and prepare reports on their findings. He said the data should then be presented to state governments and released through quarterly public reports.

‘Ask all your volunteers to form groups of 2’
Replying to Das, Pai wrote, “Good. Now listen if you are serious.”He then laid out a proposed approach for the campaign.
“Ask all your volunteers to form groups of 2 all across states. Ask them to visit schools which are allocated to them, inspect after getting permission respectfully. Prepare a report on the status on the ground by Taluk and give it to the state government. Then demand change armed with full data.”
Pai also suggested publishing a quarterly report and discussing the findings with citizens.
“Now you have data on your side and citizens will respect you for your work. You will know which state is behind,” he wrote, adding that the exercise would help the organisation understand the scale of the issue.
He said India’s school system comprises around 18 lakh schools, 24 crore children up to Class 12 and 1.3 crore faculty and staff, while around half of students are enrolled in government schools and that share is declining.
“This is public service If you are true and want change do this,” Pai wrote.
Pai criticises CJP’s school visit
Pai’s response came after he criticised the manner in which CJP volunteers had visited a government school in Rajasthan. In his earlier post on X, he wrote, “Total rubbish. You had no business talking a mob to go to a school with young children. The villagers were right in coming together to protect their children. The safety and security of students is paramount not an outside mob.”
Pai argued that a smaller delegation would have been more appropriate.
“If you folks were true, 2 or 3 will visit, talk politely and do a full study not lead a mob to do anarchist publicity. The villagers have a right to defend their children,” he wrote.
CJP spokesperson challenges Pai
CJP spokesperson Sourav Das responded to Pai’s criticism by inviting him to participate in the campaign.“All our uncles have greatest gyan to give but have no time to take part in a noble cause. Sir, please come along with us next time and show us how to do it best. You lead, we follow. Deal?” Das wrote.
Pai then replied with the detailed proposal for conducting school inspections across states.

Dispute followed CJP school inspection
The exchange followed an incident in Rajasthan in which CJP workers were reportedly chased away by villagers after arriving to inspect a government school that the party alleged was being run from a buffalo shed.Pai objected to the use of a large group during the visit and said such an approach risked disrupting a school with young children.
He instead called for systematic inspections, official permission, documentation and the publication of data before demanding changes from governments.
