Djokovic heads into the semi-final after an exhausting victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime in what has been reported as the longest Wimbledon men's quarter-final in history.

The 39-year-old admitted the challenge against Sinner will be different from their meeting in Melbourne earlier this season.

"I had a very long semis against Sinner. Obviously that was the first big tournament of the year for me, coming fresher from several months of break and preparation.

"It's a bit different now. But nevertheless, another great, historic run for me at the Grand Slams," Djokovic said, according to AFP.

Sinner seeks another Wimbledon final

The reigning champion has looked solid throughout the tournament despite difficult conditions at times.

Sinner defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarter-finals and will now attempt to reach a second successive Wimbledon final.

The Italian defeated Djokovic in straight sets in last year's semi-final, avenging previous defeats to the Serbian at the All England Club.

Looking ahead to Friday's clash, Sinner acknowledged Djokovic's experience on grass.

"He has won this tournament so many times and he knows exactly how to approach it. I'm looking forward to it," Sinner said, according to AFP.

Although Sinner is yet to win a Grand Slam title in 2026 following an early exit at the French Open, he remains among the favourites to reclaim the Wimbledon crown.

British wildcard Arthur Fery has emerged as one of the stories of Wimbledon 2026.

Ranked world No. 114 before the tournament, he has become the first wildcard to reach the men's singles semi-finals since Goran Ivanisevic's unforgettable title-winning run in 2001.

Fery is also guaranteed a significant jump in the ATP rankings after his impressive performances.

Speaking about the advantage of playing at home, Fery praised the Centre Court atmosphere.

"I have the crowd behind me here, which is a huge help, especially on Centre Court, when you have so many people pushing me.

"I've been trying to use the crowd to my advantage in important moments, just to add a little pressure maybe to the opponents. I'll try and do that again at moments that feel right on Friday," Fery said, according to AFP.

Alexander Zverev eyes first Wimbledon final

French Open champion Alexander Zverev has reached his maiden Wimbledon semi-final and now stands one victory away from another Grand Slam final.

The German, who had never progressed beyond the fourth round at Wimbledon before this year, knows he will have to silence a partisan Centre Court crowd.

"Of course, I know that 99 per cent of the people will be cheering for him. But I also enjoy those kind of atmospheres. I enjoy when the energy is very high," Zverev said, according to AFP.

Fery, meanwhile, is embracing the challenge.

"Zverev is a step up again. I'm ready for it. I have nothing to lose," he said, according to AFP.
