Nothing appears to be inching closer to unveiling its next smartphone, with a fresh teaser giving fans their first real glimpse of what could be the much-rumoured Nothing Phone (4b).

Over the past few days, the Carl Pei-led company has been building curiosity around a mysterious "(b)" branding. The campaign began with a cryptic teaser featuring only the character "(b)", leaving users speculating about what product was on the way.

Shared by Nothing India, the latest promotional clip carries the caption "(b)usted" and offers a partial look at the device itself. While the company has stopped short of officially confirming the name, many believe the smartphone in question is the Nothing Phone (4b).

The teaser is significant because it marks the first time the company has shown a glimpse of the hardware.

What does the latest teaser reveal?

Although the video reveals only a small portion of the device, it appears to continue Nothing's signature transparent design language.

Visible internal elements can be seen beneath the rear panel, a design approach that has helped the company stand out in an increasingly crowded smartphone market.

Another notable detail is the camera module.

Based on the teaser, the smartphone appears to feature a single rear camera setup. While the final design could still include additional sensors not shown in the clip, the visible hardware has led to speculation that the device could be positioned below the flagship segment.

Evangelidis posted that 'B' is simply a continuation of their naming system. He added "numbers represent generations, while letters indicate different product segments. The A Series has been our best-selling smartphone line, bringing the best of Nothing's design innovation while focusing on the features that matter most. The B Series builds on the success of the A Series by expanding into a new segment, while maintaining a clear product hierarchy. The A Series remains our most premium line below our flagship products, which doesn't carry a letter designation. This avoids overusing suffixes and provides a clearer naming structure as the portfolio expands."

Could Nothing be creating a new smartphone series?

Since entering the smartphone market, Nothing has largely divided its offerings between the main Phone series and the more affordable Phone (a) lineup.

The appearance of a Phone (4b) could signal the arrival of a third category.
