Complaint seeks ban on Nora Fatehi's ‘Sarke Chunariya'song

The complaint alleges that the track carries “highly vulgar, sexually suggestive, and obscene expressions” and argues that its visuals and choreography promote indecency. It highlights that the song is widely available on platforms like YouTube, making it easily accessible to minors.
The complainant has pointed to possible violations under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
A separate complaint has also been filed with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell over the song’s online circulation.
Armaan Malik calls the song ‘a new low’

“This showed up on my timeline and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low..,” he wrote.
Netizens question ‘normalisation’ of vulgar lyrics
Several social media users echoed similar concerns, questioning the quality of mainstream music.Another commented, “Such a low level. My ear is bleeding..how even the music industry approving those lyrics? This nonsense should be banned”.
The song features in ‘KD: The Devil’ gears up for release
The song features in the upcoming film KD: The Devil, a period action entertainer set in 1970s Bengaluru. Directed by Prem and produced by KVN Productions, the film stars Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Nora Fatehi, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and V Ravichandran in key roles.The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 30, 2026.
