Nokia 2360 flip phone launched for students and seniors that has parentel control, limit on calls and SMS; check features, colour and other details

HMD has introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new feature phone that puts a little more focus on staying connected and making everyday use easier. Aimed at school students and senior citizens, it comes with a clamshell design, dual displays and a dedicated SOS button.

But what sets the phone apart is its Family Assist feature. It lets family members manage the device remotely, including adding contacts, adjusting volume, setting reminders and changing other settings. This means a family member can help set up and manage the phone even when they are not physically with the user.

Family Assist: Set up and manage the phone remotely

The free Family Assist app, available on Google Play and the App Store, lets family members set up and manage the Nokia 2360 Flip remotely through SMS. No data plan is required on the phone being managed. Family members can add contacts, set reminders, adjust volume levels and configure SOS settings. They can also update details, such as a new doctor's number, from their own phone.

SOS button: Emergency help at the press of a button

The Nokia 2360 Flip has a dedicated SOS button that can call a pre-set number and send text messages to up to five emergency contacts simultaneously. Users need to hold the button for three seconds to activate the feature. Family members can configure the emergency contacts and the message through the Family Assist app.

Parental controls: Set limits on calls, messages and apps

The phone comes with built-in parental controls that can be configured using a Family PIN. Its School Mode restricts the device to the clock and emergency calls. Parents can also allow calls and text messages only from approved contacts and block selected apps, including the camera and games. These controls can be set directly on the phone without needing an app.

Design and display: Large icons and easy navigation

The Nokia 2360 Flip features a 2.8-inch main display with large menu icons and clear text, making it easier to navigate. Its 1.77-inch external screen displays caller information without requiring users to open the phone. It also comes with a loudspeaker, while the flip-to-answer and close-to-end-call design keeps everyday use simple.

Battery and colour options

The phone packs a removable 1,450mAh battery and will be available in Charcoal, Burgundy Red and Teal.
