Noida Traffic rules
Noida traffic police have implemented new lane change regulations on three key routes in the city. Commuters must now change lanes at least 100 meters before the designated lane change zone to avoid fines. Violations, including changing lanes at turns or cuts, will result in penalties.

Noida New lane change guidelines

Here are the specific locations where the new rules apply:

  • Vehicles traveling from Charkha to Kalindi Kunj Turn must change lanes 100 meters in advance.
  • Drivers heading from GIP to Mahamaya should keep to the left.
  • Those traveling towards DND and Chilla should stay on the right.

A three-member traffic police team has been stationed at these locations to monitor compliance. Authorities have also installed signboards at various turning points to prevent last-minute lane changes. The enforcement of these measures may extend to the entire district in the future.

Noida New Lane Change Rules Reasons

The decision to introduce these rules aims to reduce frequent traffic jams on these routes. Additionally, the road from Sector-18 to Rajnigandha will be widened to improve traffic flow. Vehicles traveling from Rajnigandha often face congestion near BHEL. To address this, a slip road will be built on the left side of BHEL.

For the road expansion, two trees will be relocated after obtaining permission from the Forest Department. Two public toilets on the footpath will also be removed as part of the project.
