Delhi woke up to fresh spells of rain on Thursday, bringing much-needed relief to residents from the recent stretch of humid and hot weather. Several parts of Delhi-NCR like Noida saw heavy rainfall overnight which turned into waterlogging in the city this morning.

Noida under orange alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for parts of Delhi-NCR, including Ghaziabad, Noida, Meerut, and Gurugram, warning of more intense showers expected throughout the day.

The latest spell of rain follows a day after heavy showers disrupted normal life across Delhi-NCR. On Wednesday, intense rainfall triggered widespread waterlogging, traffic snarls, and flooding in several parts of the region.


According to IMD data, cumulative rainfall recorded between 8:30 am on July 8 and 5:30 am on July 9 revealed notable variations across different parts of Delhi-NCR.

Ground reports and visuals shared on social media indicate flooding at several locations, including the Fr. Agnel School stretch in Sector 62, Noida, and parts of Sector 100.

Noida weather for the coming days

Today: Expect cloudy and humid conditions with heavy showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Daytime temperatures will hover around 31°C to 32°C, with a high chance of continued rainfall.

Friday, July 10: Thundershowers along with moderate rain are likely. Maximum temperatures may range between 31°C and 34°C, while nighttime lows could settle near 25°C.

Saturday, July 11: A transition phase with reduced rain chances (around 20–40%). Cloudy mornings are expected to clear up for sunnier afternoons, with highs between 33°C and 35°C.

Sunday, July 12 – Tuesday, July 14: Weather will turn mostly sunny to partly cloudy, accompanied by rising heat and humidity. Temperatures are expected to peak around 36°C.
