Noida: Model dies in Fim City after lighting truss collapses during fashion show

In a tragic incident, an iron truss used to support the lights collapsed on two people during a fashion show in Film City, Noida, killing a 24-year-old model and injuring another. According to police, the incident happened at Laxmi Studio on Sunday at around 1:30 p.m. while the fashion show was in progress.

Vanshika Chopra, a resident of Gaur City-2 in Greater Noida, was killed, while Bobby Raj, an Agra resident, was injured in the incident. Raj was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently being treated.

ADCP Noida Shakti Awasthi reported that four suspects have been taken into custody for questioning. After the investigation, more legal action will be taken, the officer added.


Vanshika participated in the event as one of the volunteer promoters. She was rushed to the Kailash Hospital after an iron truss fell on her during a fashion show, where doctors pronounced her dead, according to the police.
