Dense Fog Grips Uttar Pradesh, IMD Issues Fresh Warning for Late Night and Morning Hours
Dense to very dense fog enveloped large parts of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, disrupting visibility across several districts as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that similar conditions are likely to persist, especially during late night and early morning hours.

According to the Meteorological Centre, the state witnessed dry weather over the past 24 hours, with no rainfall reported from any district.

Lucknow Weather Update: Temperatures Dip Below Normal

In the state capital Lucknow, the maximum temperature stood at 19.6 degrees Celsius, about 1.4 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 5.8 degrees Celsius, nearly two degrees lower than the seasonal average.

Relative humidity levels ranged between 91 per cent and 54 per cent. Despite the foggy mornings, clear skies during the day kept temperatures comfortable.

The IMD said Lucknow and surrounding areas are likely to experience mainly clear skies during daytime, but dense to very dense fog is expected during late night and morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius and 7 degrees Celsius respectively.

IMD Issues Dense Fog Warning Across Uttar Pradesh

The weather department has issued a warning for dense fog across many parts of the state. While dry weather is very likely to continue, cold day conditions are expected at isolated locations, particularly in western and central Uttar Pradesh.

Bareilly, Moradabad and Muzaffarnagar reported maximum temperatures around 13 degrees Celsius, while Meerut stood at 13.6 degrees and Barabanki at 15 degrees Celsius.

Fog Reduces Visibility Across Major Cities
